A baseplate compass for your phone.
Touch the screen to rotate the housing and set a bearing, then walk on the bearing by lining up the needle with the arrow on the housing - just like a regular baseplate compass.
Supports mils and degrees. iPhone 3GS/4 only.
What it does:
- Displays your current magnetic bearing in figures and graphically via a moving compass needle.
- Allows you to set a bearing by touching the screen to rotate the compass housing, or by using the entry form.
- Allows you to enter a custom declination.
- Supports bearings in degrees and mils.
- Uses the inbuilt magnetometer only and not GPS to improve battery life.
What it doesn't do:
- Anything other than the above. It's supposed to be simple!
Note: accuracy is limited to that of the iPhone's internal magnetometer, and will be affected by nearby ferrous metal or electromagnetic fields.
